What happened to the new home?
Our initial plan was to purchase or lease a long-term space that could accommodate two dance studios, an office area, and a storage room. The spaces that met these requirements typically had lease rates ranging from approximately $5,000 to $10,000 per month, with an additional estimated build-out cost of $40,000 to $50,000.
We explored the possibility of partnering with other organizations that had similar space needs in order to share costs and resources, but those efforts have not yet been successful.
While we continued our search for a new home, our current space partner—Threads Dance Project—approached us with an opportunity to become long-term renters in their facility. This arrangement aligns well with our current operational needs and allows us to maintain continuity in our programming and community engagement.
We plan to continue exploring options for a dedicated space in the future. In the meantime, if you have any leads or suggestions, please reach out to us at info@saathmn.org

2024 Fundraiser message from Divya Maiya, Co-Founder and Executive Director of SAATH
We’re launching a major fundraiser for SAATH with a goal of raising $40,000 from November 1st to 21st for Give to the Max Day, and we need everyone’s help. Members can create individual fundraising pages and offer unique experiences, like road trips or skill-based classes, to engage donors.
This effort aims to secure a dedicated space for SAATH, creating a central hub for rehearsals, performances, and community activities. By establishing a permanent space, we can expand our reach, host diverse projects, and foster creativity within the South Asian arts community.
